Mark Sanchez had three touch­down passes to rally the New York Jets over the New Eng­land Patri­ots to a 28–21 win on Sunday.

Attract­ing around 55% of the NFL bet­ting action, the New Eng­land Patri­ots were the clear favorites against New York among Lines­Maker bet­tors. With the NFL lines at –9.5, New Eng­land turned out to be a cause of huge dis­ap­point­ment for the major­ity of bet­tors as they lost to the Jets.

Sanchez found LaDain­ian Tom­lin­son and Bray­lon Edwards for scor­ing strikes in the sec­ond period to help the Jets advance to the AFC Cham­pi­onship game against the Pitts­burgh Steelers.

Con­nect­ing with San­to­nio Holmes, Sanchez scored on a 7-yard touch­down pass in the begin­ning of the fourth frame for New York 21–11. Sanchez com­pleted 16-of-25 pass­ing for 194 yards through the air with no interceptions.

Jer­ri­cho Cotch­ery caught five grabs for 96 yards for the Jets. Shonn Greene went for 76 yards on 17 car­ries and a score in the win.

Tom Brady went 29-of-45 for 299 yards with two scores and one inter­cep­tion for the Patri­ots, who snapped their eight-game win­ning streak.
