Help Is Here: Veteran Lineman Starks Signs With Steelers

The Pitts­burgh Steel­ers have signed vet­eran offen­sive line­man Max Starks, accord­ing to a league source.

Starks, of course, is a famil­iar face to the Steel­ers, hav­ing spent his entire career there from 2004 to 2010.

The team released Starks in July, but as Pittsburgh’s line con­tin­ues to suf­fer, Starks’ famil­iar­ity with the pro­gram made him a viable can­di­date to return.

After Pitts­burgh drafted Starks in the third round of the 2004 draft, he made 68 starts for the team in seven sea­sons, includ­ing seven starts in 2010.
