New Jersey Defeats NBA Betting Favorite Chicago
The New Jersey Nets posted a 96–94 victory over the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday, courtesy of Sasha Vujacic who hit a jumper with 5.3 seconds left to play.
Drawing around 80% of the NBA betting action, the Chicago Bulls were the hot favorites against New Jersey among LinesMaker bettors. With the NBA betting lines at –5, Chicago turned out to be the cause of huge disappointment for the majority of bettors as they lost to the underdog Nets.
The Nets had a 13 points lead in the fourth quarter, before C.J. Watson scored on a pair of free throws for Chicago to tie the game within the last 11 seconds of the game.
Vujacic hit 5-of-12 from the field, including the game-winner that sealed the win and scored 13 points for the Nets, who had lost five consecutive games.
Coming off the bench, Kris Humphries added 20 points with 11 rebounds for New Jersey. Devin Harris and Brook Lopez chipped in with 18 and 14 points, apiece for the Nets.
Derrick Rose paced the Bulls by scoring 21 points. Luol Deng added 17 points for Chicago, which has lost just 3 out of 17 games.
