We are pleased to announce the horse race of the week. Lines­maker mem­bers have the chance to dou­ble their win­nings on a horse wager each week­end with the LM Horse Race of the Week. To take part sim­ply place a “To Win” wager on a horse with 2:1 or greater odds and we’ll dou­ble your win­nings if that horse wins. This is week 49 for 2012.

The Ontario Lassie Stakes is a Cana­dian Thor­ough­bred horse race run each year at Wood­bine Race­track in Toronto, Ontario. Open to Ontario-bred two-year-old fil­lies, it is con­tested on Poly­track syn­thetic dirt over a dis­tance of 1 1/16 miles (8.5 furlongs).

Inau­gu­rated in 1979 at Toronto’s Green­wood Race­way, it was raced there through 1993 at a dis­tance of one mile. In 1994, the race moved to Wood­bine and was set at a dis­tance of 1 1/16 miles.
