The Dal­las Stars ral­lied over the Col­orado Avalanche to a 4–2 vic­tory on Thurs­day, cour­tesy of Tom Wan­dell and Loui Eriks­son who net­ted goals in first period to lead Dallas.

Draw­ing nearly 70% of the NHL bet­ting action, the Dal­las Stars were the clear favorites against Col­orado among Lines­Maker bet­tors. With –284 NHL odds, Dal­las delighted the major­ity of bet­tors by beat­ing the Avalanche (+257).

Wan­dell scored in the first and Eriks­son tal­lied within 1:35 to clinch a 2–0 lead for Dal­las, which moved within two points of Ana­heim and Chicago that are tied for the sev­enth and eighth play­off spots in the West­ern Conference.

Bran­don Yip scored in the sec­ond period to help Col­orado move within one. How­ever, Bren­den Mor­row tal­lied 52 sec­onds into the third to hold the two-goal lead for the Stars.

Mark Oliver net­ted a goal with 9:54 to play for Col­orado to move within a goal. How­ever, Brad Richards restored the lead for the Stars with a goal just 1:15 min­utes later.

Kari Lehto­nen turned aside 21 shots for Dal­las. Brian Elliott allowed four goals on 37 shots for the Avalanche.
