The Boston Bru­ins posted a 4–3 vic­tory over the Mon­treal Cana­di­ens on Wednes­day, thanks to Nathan Hor­ton who net­ted a goal 5:43 into overtime.

Attract­ing nearly 65% of the NHL bet­ting action, the Boston Bru­ins were the clear favorites against Mon­treal among Lines­Maker bet­tors. With the NHL lines at –175, Boston delighted the major­ity of bet­tors by defeat­ing the Cana­di­ens (+161).

P.K. Sub­ban net­ted a goal with 1:57 remain­ing in reg­u­la­tion to help Mon­treal tie the game 3–3. Hor­ton scored on his third goal of the play­offs to end the tie. The Bru­ins will bat­tle Philadel­phia, who defeated Buf­falo on Tues­day in quar­ter­fi­nals, in the con­fer­ence semi­fi­nal series.

Johnny Boy­chuk and Mark Rec­chi scored first-period goals to help the Bru­ins take a 2–0 lead. Yan­nick Weber scored on a power play in the mid­dle of first period for the Cana­di­ens. Tomas Plekanec tal­lied in the sec­ond period to tie the game.

Chris Kelly gave Boston the advan­tage by scor­ing in the third and Sub­ban held on to the lead in the reg­u­la­tion. Tim Thomas made 34 saves for Boston.

Carey Price turned aside 30 shots for the Canadiens.
