Dan Cleary reg­is­tered the sec­ond goal of the game in the third quar­ter to rally the Detroit Red Wings to a 7–3 vic­tory over St. Louis on Wednesday.

Attract­ing more than 70% of the NHL bet­ting action, the Detroit Red Wings were the clear favorites against St. Louis among Lines­Maker bet­tors to win this game. With the bet­ting lines at –185, Detroit made the bet­tors happy by top­pling St. Louis (+170).

Going into the third, the game was at an impasse before Detroit scored four times to post their fourth win in a row. Hav­ing a six-game scor­ing streak, Cleary scored eight goals.

The first goal for Cleary came in the sec­ond period with 3:30 remain­ing, pro­vid­ing the Red Wings a 3–2 lead that was later tied by Andy McDonald.

Cleary had four goals in a span of 3:14 in the third period for Detroit. Hen­rik Zetter­berg, Brad Stu­art and Tomas Holm­strom also con­tributed with scores in the third while the last two goals came on the power play.

This was the fifth straight loss for St. Louis. Jaroslav Halak pre­vented 31 shots for St. Louis, and all seven Detroit goals came against him.
