Costa and Willis Join Mercedes at LinesMaker

Ross Brawn has now added another for­mer mem­ber of the Fer­rari dream team to his Mer­cedes out­fit: Aldo Costa, who worked as tech­ni­cal direc­tor at Fer­rari until May, will join the team, Mer­cedes announced today. Costa was at Fer­rari when Brawn and Schu­macher were there dur­ing the team’s strongest era last decade.

“I am delighted to announce that Aldo Costa and Geoff Willis will be join­ing the Mer­cedes GP Petronas team,” said Brawn. “Geoff is a highly respected engi­neer with over twenty years of For­mula 1 expe­ri­ence, and we look for­ward to his arrival next month. Hav­ing worked closely with Aldo for many years, I know that he will bring ded­i­ca­tion and championship-winning exper­tise to the team when he joins in December.”

Geoff Willis, most recently of HRT, will also join the team.
