Bottas in Action for Williams on Opening Day at Mugello at LinesMaker

Williams’ reserve dri­ver Valt­teri Bot­tas will test for the British team on the open­ing day of next week’s Mugello ses­sion. Bot­tas will take to the Ital­ian track on Tues­day, whilst Bruno Senna and Pas­tor Mal­don­ado will be in action on Wednes­day and Thurs­day respectively.

Since com­menc­ing his cur­rent Williams role late last year, the Finn has enjoyed plenty of time behind the wheel of the FW34. As well as a pre-season test out­ing, the 2011 GP3 cham­pion par­tic­i­pated in Fri­day prac­tice ses­sions at the Malaysian, Chi­nese and Bahrain Grands Prix.

Bot­tas joins a grow­ing num­ber of third dri­vers in action on the first day at Ital­ian track. Lotus’s Jerome D’Ambrosio, Caterham’s Rodolfo Gon­za­lez and Force India’s Jules Bianchi will also test on Tuesday.
