Speak­ing to the media after the Horned Frogs’ first spring prac­tice, Pat­ter­son incor­po­rated the time­less coach­s­peak of “it’s never as bad as you think, never as good as you think” to the drug sit­u­a­tion when he acknowl­edged... 

Slow Start Again Proves Costly

Texas A&M, Mizzou Big 12 Buyouts Close

STILLWATER, Okla. — The chair­man of the Big 12-s board of direc­tors says the con­fer­ence has agreed to terms with Texas A&M and Mis­souri on the schools’ exit penal­ties but the league’s mem­bers must still give final approval. Okla­homa State Pres­i­dent Burns Har­gis said Fri­day that the schools agreed to the terms “long before” West Virginia’s entry into the con­fer­ence was final­ized this month. The university’s board of regents voted Fri­day to grant Har­gis power to exe­cute final set­tle­ments, and he says every con­fer­ence mem­ber must take...

Crazy F1 Testing in the Off-Season

I can­not remem­ber the last time it was so dif­fi­cult to fig­ure out which teams had cre­ated the best cars through look­ing at win­ter test­ing. This year there have been so many dif­fer­ent lead­ers of the time sheets after two weeks of test­ing that it is impos­si­ble to read any­thing into which teams have the best cars. Today the fastest car was a Sauber, dri­ven by Kamui Kobayashi. Could the teams really be doing all they can to hide their game? New York, NY — The New York Rangers have traded for­ward Wojtek Wol­ski to the Florida Pan­thers in exchange for defense­man Michael Ver­nace and a 2013 third round draft pick, the team announced on Saturday. Wol­ski has played in only nine games this sea­son for the Rangers, record­ing three assists. He had surgery to repair a sports her­nia on Novem­ber 8 and missed 27 games.
