Already dealing with injuries a week into spring practice, Texas Tech has suffered some additional attrition for an entirely different reason.
According to the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal, linebacker Cqulin Hubert has been dismissed from the Red Raiders football program. The reason for the dismissal was, of course, the ever-popular “unspecified violations of team rules”.
Hubert was considered a leading contender for a starting job.
As a sophomore in 2011, Hubert played in 11 games, starting six of those contests. he finished sixth on the team and tackles, and had 5.5 tackles for loss, one sack and one interception.
Poor TT. He never should have taken that job in the first place. You are way to good a coach to be out in the desert! TT is a good school but Lubbock is just to hard to get kids to come play.
Cqulin?? Really, his name starts with CQ? How does that happen?
@mrslay1
That isn’t true! Mike Leach won many games at TX Tech. Lubbock might be remote but he proved you can win their. Tuberville is not the right person though for that job. They should never have fired Mike Leach.
On that we agree! Mike Leach is one of those guys who will attract enough players to win anywhere he goes. But lets face it…he is one of a kind. TT is a great coach and proved it at Auburn and Miss. State. He just needs a different kind of school.
He’s not a great coach, Leach was and still will be at Wazu. B. Petrino almost back doored TT years ago when he was the OC. Now BP is a winning coach. TT is average at best.
Leave town or my wife will run you over. The choice is yours.
