NCAA Football Betting: Miami (Ohio) Tops Point Favorite Middle Tennessee

Miami (Ohio) inter­cepted four passes to rally over the Mid­dle Ten­nessee Blue Raiders 35–21 Thurs­day, even as Thomas Mer­ri­weather reg­is­tered two scor­ing runs in the GoDaddy.com Bowl.

Attract­ing nearly 65% of the NCAA foot­ball bet­ting action, Miami (Ohio), with bet­ting lines at +1.5, was the favorite against Mid­dle Ten­nessee among major­ity of Lines­Maker bet­tors, if not the odd­mak­ers. The Red­Hawks delighted its sup­port­ers by defeat­ing the point favorite Mid­dle Tennessee.

Dwight Dasher, the Blue Raiders quar­ter­back, threw for 162 yards and stacked another 103 yards. How­ever, he was inter­cepted four times by the Red­Hawks that kept Mid­dle Ten­nessee from winning.

Day­onne Nun­ley trans­formed one of those turnovers into a 52 yards touch­down to help the Red­Hawks take a 21–14 lead in the begin­ning of third period.

Later, Phillip Tan­ner helped the Blue Raiders to tie the game with a 54-yard run. How­ever, the Red­Hawks quar­ter­back Austin Boucher outscored Mid­dle Ten­nessee by throw­ing two touch­down passes.

Boucher went 23-of-37 for 297 yards for the Red­Hawks, who ended the sea­son 10–4. Mer­ri­weather piled on 100 yards while car­ry­ing the ball 27 times, along with scor­ing on a pair of 3-yard runs in the first half of the game.

The Sun Belt Con­fer­ence, which emerged as win­ner in two other games, failed to become the only unde­feated league in the bowl this sea­son after the loss of the Blue Raiders (6–7).
