Bryce Brown Absent Against Baylor
And we don’t mean absent as in he didn’t get any touches, or was removed from the game plan.
No, Kansas State running back Bryce Brown wasn’t in Bill Snyder Family Stadium when the Wildcats stunned No. 15 Baylor yesterday. As we noted earlier this week, Brown has reportedly been dealing with a variety of issues that could be personal, team-related, or a combination of both.
Whatever the cause, Brown has seen limited playing time this season — his only stats came in K-State’s season-opener — and hasn’t been a part of the two-deep all season. Some wonder if he’ll be playing football in Manhattan for much longer.
“It is a difficult time for him,” coach Bill Snyder said after Saturday’s game. “There are things he’s trying to work through and a lot of people trying to help him. It’s going to be important for him to reach out to those people and try to get things straightened away.
“It’s not about football right now at all.”
(Big thanks: Kansas City Star)
