UCLA’s Powell Suffers Concussion, Needs Staples
LOS ANGELES — UCLA freshman guard Norman Powell sustained a concussion at a workout this week and received three staples in his forehead to close a small cut.
A team spokesman said Thursday that the injury occurred on Tuesday when Powell was driving the lane and was accidentally elbowed by a teammate.
He is listed as day-to-day.
