NCAA Basketball Betting Fans Rejoice as Purdue Downs Penn State
No. 10 Purdue rolled past the Penn State Nittany Lions 83–68 on Wednesday, courtesy of Ryne Smith who chipped in with career-best 20 points while completing 5-of-5 from 3-point range.
Attracting around 65% of the NCAA basketball betting action, the Purdue Boilermakers were the clear favorites against Penn State among LinesMaker bettors. With the college basketball betting lines at –6, Purdue gave the majority of bettors a chance to celebrate as they defeated the Nittany Lions.
Lewis Jackson scored 17 points for the Boilermakers, who won their tenth game in a row on road. JaJuan Johnson added 15 points and hauled 15 rebounds for Purdue, which was leading by just four points at the break.
With this win, the Boilermakers improved to 14–1 in the season, as they continued to be undefeated in three Big Ten Conference games. So far, Purdue has lost just once against Nov. 27 against Richmond.
Talor Battle and Jermaine Marshall scored 18 points each for the Nittany Lions. Penn State (8–6, 1–2) has lost four of their last five games.
