Kansas State Defeats NCAA Basketball Betting Favorite Kansas
Jacob Pullen chipped in 38 points with five 3-pointers to help the Kansas State Wildcats take over the top-ranked intrastate competitor Kansas Jayhawks, 84–68, on Monday.
Attracting around 85% of the NCAA basketball betting action, the Kansas Jayhawks were the favorites against Kansas State to win among LinesMaker bettors. With the college basketball lines at –6, Kansas disappointed the majority of bettors for losing to the Wildcats.
Completing 5-of-6 baskets from beyond the art and 15-of-19 from the free throw line, Pullen had five assists for the Wildcats (17–9, 5–6 Big 12), who managed to defeat Kansas for second time in 28 contest on home turf. Rodney McGruder and Jordan Henriquez-Roberts pumped in 10 points each for Kansas State.
Kansas (24–2, 9–2) lost the game just within a day after the coached voted them as the No. 1 team of the nation, following the loss of unbeaten Ohio State to Wisconsin on Saturday.
Tyrel Reed and Marcus Morris scored 14 and 13 points, apiece, for the Jayhawks, who completed 3-of-15 shots from long range.
