Maria Stepanova

Maria Stepanova was born February 23, 1979 in the village of Shpakovskoye in the former Russion Federative Socialist Republic of the USSR. She is a Russian professional and Olympic basketball player. In the United States, she plays for the Phoenix Mercury in the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA).
She is the second-tallest player in the league at a height of six foot eight inches, along with Katie Feenstra, Zheng Haixia and Lindsay Taylor. Only Margo Dydek, at 7′ 2″, is taller.
