Francesca Piccinini
Bio:
Born January 10, 1979, Francesca Piccinini is a volleyball player who has represented Italy three times at the Summer Olympics, in 2000, 2004, and 2008. She was a member of the Women’s National Team that won the gold medal at the 2002 World Championship in Germany. She made her debut for Italy in 1995 against the United States. She was inspired to become a professional volleyball player by the classic anime Attack No. 1 which in Italy was shown on TV in the 1980s under the title ‘Mimi e la nazionale de la pallavolo’.
