INGLEWOOD (HORSES/Newsfeed) – Quiet Oasis won the $ 100,000 Wilshire Handicap by a half-length Sunday at Betfair Hollywood Park.
Ridden by Mario Gutierrez, Quiet Oasis ran a mile on the turf in 1:34.63 in her first start in more than five months. She paid $ 33.20, $ 12.60 and $ 6.40.
Pacesetter Briecat and Antares World finished in a dead heart for second. Briecat returned $ 4 and $ 4.60, while Antares World paid $ 19 and $ 12. Nereid, the 6–5 favorite, was fourth.
Quiet Oasis has three wins in eight career starts and earnings of $ 122,379.
