The Chicago White Sox are the defending World Series Champions. Based in Chicago, Illinois, the White Sox is one of the two major league teams from this city. The other team is the Chicago Cubs of the National League.
In the early 20th century the White Sox were a very strong team but dropped in the aftermath of what has been known as the Black Sox Scandal.
